I've been feeling a little antsy about blogging here the past few weeks--my happy pseudo-anonymity has granted me a freedom to share a lot of my deeper and darker thoughts, but at the same time has constrained me by preventing me from being more open and forthright about my identity.
I've decided that it's time to move on to greener pastures and, as part of this, have set myself up with a new space over at WordPress:

I'm also setting myself up with a little Etsy shop (by the same name) through which I may or may not list some of my craftier productions for sale. Right now I'm knitting myself some grocery bags from a combination of recycled, reclaimed, and new-from-the-ends-bin fabric. If it goes well, you might see a few of those up there in the next month or so.
So I bid a fond farewell to "Not The Girl"--this blog has seen me through some of the most tumultuous years of my life thus far and has been a much needed friend and crutch when I've felt marginalized, confused and lost. It has been a place where I could be a frank as I wanted, whenever I wanted. And it has been a wonderful place to meet some new friends and hook up with some new blogs.
I can't say the new blog will have the same feel, as that is the biggest reason I am moving--I want to stretch my wings and rediscover my love of writing in the same way this blog has helped me to reconnect with my love of journalling--but I do hope I'll see you all there.
